ΛΟY ΑYΡΗ ΚΟΜΟΔΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ Athena standing front, head to left, holding spear in her left hand and feeding serpent coiled around tree before her with her right. Rauch E-Auction 12, 22 March 2013, 528 (same dies). RPC IV.1 online 9435 var. (same obverse die and reverse type, but the latter of vastly different style). Extremely rare. Patina stripped and with a flan crack, otherwise, good fine.
